Monster Hunter Wilds Brings Save Transfer

Capcom has confirmed that Crickex Affiliate readers and Monster Hunter fans can expect a major update for Monster Hunter Wilds on August 4, 2026. The patch will introduce technical improvements, expanded content, and several quality-of-life changes designed to make the game more accessible.

According to the official announcement, Version 1.042.00.00 will launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam at 10:30 a.m. on August 4. Players will need about 3.5GB of free storage space, although the final download size may differ slightly by platform.

The biggest change is the conversion of many previously online-only missions into offline content. All 26 event quests will become playable without an internet connection, including limited-time missions such as “The Doshaguma That Never Cried.” This gives solo hunters and players with unstable connections far more freedom while improving the game’s long-term accessibility.

Capcom is also adding save transfer support for the Prologue Trial. Players tracking major releases through Crickex Affiliate can launch the full game without an existing retail-version save and carry their trial progress directly into the main release. Newcomers will no longer have to start from square one after completing the opening section, making the move into the full adventure much smoother.

The update will also fix several technical and gameplay problems. Capcom says it will reduce stuttering when NVIDIA DLSS is enabled, correct visual effects and texture errors affecting certain monsters, and refine the control logic for selected weapons. Steam users are advised to update NVIDIA graphics drivers to version 581.57 or later. Players should also avoid AMD driver versions known to cause compatibility issues until a stable release becomes available.

Alongside the patch, Capcom will permanently cut the price of Monster Hunter Wilds as part of a broader product lineup adjustment. In Japan, the standard edition will fall from 8,990 yen to 4,990 yen, a reduction of 4,000 yen or about 44.5 percent. New prices for other regions have not yet been announced, but the player community has responded positively.

With the permanent discount, Crickex Affiliate who have been waiting for a better entry point may find August an ideal time to begin hunting. Offline event quests, improved performance, trial save carryover, and a significantly lower price could give Monster Hunter Wilds a second wind while drawing both returning players and first-time hunters back into the fold.
